This page is a placeholder skeleton for launch planning. Nothing on this page has been reviewed by an attorney and none of it should be treated as final or binding until it is.
Terms of Service
1. Agreement to terms Draft
By using Service Rivet you agree to these terms. Placeholder — governing law, entity name, and effective date to be added.
2. Billing & cancellation Draft
Service Rivet is billed month-to-month at the published per-tech rate, or annually with a 2-months-free discount. There is no long-term contract and no termination fee. Cancellation is self-serve through the billing portal and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Founding-shop rates are locked for the life of the subscription while it remains continuously active; if a subscription lapses and is later restarted, then-current published pricing applies. Locked rates cover the product as it exists at signup and features added to the standard plan; separately priced usage-based add-ons, if ever introduced, are excluded. Placeholder — refund policy, proration, and trial terms to be added.
3. Payments & card processing Draft — payments language
Card payments are processed by a third-party payment processor on a pass-through basis; Service Rivet does not mark up processing fees. Placeholder — processor name, PCI-DSS responsibilities, chargeback handling, and payout timing to be added.
4. SMS & messaging consent Draft — SMS consent
Customers of a Service Rivet user may receive appointment-reminder and "on my way" text messages related to a scheduled job. Included SMS is subject to a fair-use limit of 500 messages per tech per month, intended to cover job-related notifications; Service Rivet SMS may not be used for bulk marketing campaigns. Placeholder — opt-in/opt-out mechanism, message frequency disclosure, "Reply STOP to cancel" language, and carrier-required consent text to be added before this feature is customer-facing.
5. Data ownership & export Draft
Customer data belongs to the organization that entered it. A full export of all entities is available at any time from Settings. Placeholder — data retention after cancellation and deletion timelines to be added.
6. Acceptable use, liability, disclaimers Draft
Placeholder — standard SaaS acceptable-use, warranty disclaimer, and limitation-of-liability sections to be added.
